Terms of Use: "שלט לטלוויזיה" (TV Remote)
These terms supplement Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
1. The agreement
Your use of the App is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA", https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) together with these supplementary terms. If there is a conflict, the Standard EULA prevails except where these terms give you more rights, and nothing in either document limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law, including the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981. Our privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy: https://tvremote.hustlemania.dev/en/privacy.
2. What the App does, and what it needs
- The App lets an iPhone send remote-control commands to Samsung and LG smart TVs, and to TVs running Google TV or Android TV, over your home Wi‑Fi. It uses the remote-control interface that the TV itself offers on your local network. It does not use infrared and does not support TVs or devices that run other software.
- Requirements: the iPhone and the TV must be on the same Wi‑Fi network; the TV must be on and allow network control; the first connection must be approved on the TV (Samsung: "Allow" prompt, which may require the TV's own remote or buttons; LG: entering the PIN shown on the TV; Google TV / Android TV: entering the code shown on the TV). Supported models: Samsung smart TVs (Tizen) from 2016 onward, and LG smart TVs (webOS) that support network remote control. Google TV / Android TV: TVs running Google TV or Android TV on which the TV's own remote-control service is available; the App has been tested on selected models only, and not every such TV works: it depends on the model, its software version and the network. Not every model has been tested, so please check in the App that your TV connects before you subscribe.
- Not every button works on every model. Turning the TV on from the App (where available in the App) depends on the TV model, its settings and the network, and isn't available on all models or in all conditions; it usually requires turning on a setting on the TV first. Router settings (e.g. guest networks, client isolation) can block the connection.
- The App is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics or Google LLC. Samsung and LG, Google, Android TV and Google TV (trademarks of Google LLC), and the names of TV menus and settings shown in the App, are trademarks or names of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility and to show where a setting is. Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and Disney+ are trademarks of their respective owners and appear in the App only as the names of the apps that its buttons ask the TV to open; the App is not affiliated with them. The App uses the remote-control interface that the TV offers, as the TV offers it. TV manufacturers and Google may change the TV's software, including through automatic updates, in ways that affect compatibility or stop some or all of the App's features from working with that TV.
3. Free and Pro features
- Free: find and connect to your TV; Power, Volume +/−, Mute.
- Pro: arrows and OK, Home, Back, input (source) selection, number pad, favorites, a keyboard for typing into text fields on the TV, and buttons that open apps on the TV. On a Google TV or Android TV, input (source) selection isn't offered. The keyboard works only in fields and apps that accept text from the phone, and an app button works only if the app is installed on and supported by the TV; this depends on the model.
- Pro is available as a weekly subscription or a yearly subscription, The weekly subscription starts with a 7-day free trial for eligible users; the yearly subscription has no free trial and is charged when you subscribe. There is no one-time purchase. Current prices (at launch: ₪14.90/week, ₪99.90/year) appear in the App before you buy and in the App Store, including VAT where applicable, and are charged in your App Store currency, as shown by Apple.
4. Subscriptions
- Billing by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account (formerly Apple ID) when you confirm the purchase (yearly, or weekly without a trial), or when the weekly free trial ends. We never receive your payment details.
- Automatic renewal. Weekly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- 7-day free trial (weekly only). Eligible new subscribers who choose the weekly subscription get the first 7 days free. The yearly subscription has no trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the 7 days end, the subscription continues automatically as a paid subscription: your Apple Account is charged the price shown on the purchase screen (at launch: ₪14.90/week) when the trial ends, and then every week until you cancel. The first charge date and amount are shown before you start and in the confirmation afterwards. You can ask for a reminder a day before the trial ends (requires notification permission; the reminder is a courtesy and not a condition of your rights).
- Eligibility. The weekly free trial is available once per Apple Account across the Pro subscription group, under Apple's rules. If you've already used it, or have (or had) a weekly or yearly subscription, no trial is offered and the App shows the full price. Apple, not us, determines eligibility.
- After the weekly trial. You may end the subscription at any time after the trial ends, with no charge for ending it (Israeli Consumer Protection Law §13A(d)(2)).
- How to cancel. iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → שלט לטלוויזיה → Cancel Subscription (Hebrew iOS: הגדרות ← השם שלכם ← מינויים), or from the App: Settings → ניהול מינוי. You can also cancel by any of the methods in section 6. After cancellation, Pro stays available until the end of the period already paid for, unless you receive a refund for that period.
- Price changes. If a subscription price increases, Apple notifies you and, where required, asks for your consent before renewing at the new price.
5. Switching between weekly and yearly
Both subscriptions are in one subscription group, so you can hold only one at a time. You can switch in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple decides when a switch takes effect and how it's billed (usually an upgrade to yearly is immediate with a prorated refund, and a downgrade to weekly takes effect at the end of the current period). Switching to yearly during the weekly free trial ends the rest of the trial and starts the paid yearly subscription, as Apple determines. The App has no one-time "lifetime" purchase.
6. Cancellation and refunds (including Israeli consumer law)
- Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple: https://reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly because we don't process payments.
- Your statutory rights. Where the Israeli Consumer Protection Law applies to you, you may cancel as that law provides, including:
- cancelling a continuing transaction (a subscription) at any time. The cancellation takes effect within 3 business days of your notice (6 business days if sent by registered mail), or on a later date you specify, and you won't be charged for service after that date (section 13D(c));
- cancelling a distance transaction within 14 days as set out in section 14C, subject to the exceptions in the law; senior citizens (65+), people with disabilities and new immigrants may have extended rights under section 14C1 where that section applies.
- How to send a cancellation notice to us (section 14I): Apple processes subscription cancellation and refunds; we cannot cancel the subscription on your behalf. The fastest way is to cancel the subscription on your iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions (or in the App: Settings → ניהול מינוי). You can also email support@hustlemania.dev; we will reply within 3 business days with the cancellation steps (iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions) and Apple's link (https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions). Refund requests: https://reportaproblem.apple.com. The channels are also listed at https://tvremote.hustlemania.dev/en/support#cancel. Where you're entitled to a refund, we'll help you obtain it from Apple.
7. Acceptable use
Use the App only with TVs you own or are authorised to control. Don't reverse-engineer the App except as permitted by law, and don't use it to interfere with other people's devices.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The App is provided under the Standard EULA's warranty and liability terms, to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that every model, firmware version or network will work. We are not responsible for the TV itself, its software, or your network equipment. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Support
support@hustlemania.dev · https://tvremote.hustlemania.dev/en/support. We reply to support requests usually within 5 business days (we reply to cancellation emails within 3 business days, as set out in section 6).
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The version date appears at the top; material changes will be notified in the App. Changes don't affect a subscription period already paid for.
11. Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Israel have jurisdiction. This does not limit any mandatory right you have to sue in your place of residence.
12. Open-source software
The App's code is our own. As a precaution, we credit the open-source projects whose protocol definition files the App's Google TV / Android TV message definitions are partly based on. These licences apply only to those parts, not to the App as a whole, and crediting a project doesn't mean that it, or Google, endorses the App.
